Standard Test Method for Color of Maleic Anhydride in the Molten State and After Heating (Platinum-Cobalt Scale)
1.1 This test method covers the determination of the visual measurement of the color of maleic anhydride melt before and after prolonged heating under specified conditions of time and temperature. Color values are expressed in terms of platinum-cobalt StandardDetails.
1.2 This test method covers the range 0 to 100 color standard numbers.
1.3 In determining the conformance of the test results using this method to applicable specifications, results shall be rounded off in accordance with the rounding-off method of Practice E29.
1.4 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as standard. No other units of measurement are included in this standard.
