Standard Specification for Rivets, Steel, Structural
1.1 This specification covers three grades of steel rivets in diameters from 1/2 to 11/2 in. inclusive, for structural fabricating purposes. The grades are as follows:
Grade | Description |
1 | Carbon steel rivets for general purpose use |
2 | Carbon manganese steel rivets for use with high strength carbon and high strength low alloy structural steels |
3 | Weathering steel rivets |
1.2 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as standard. The values given in parentheses are mathematical conversions to SI units that are provided for information only and are not considered standard.
