Standard Classification for Rubber Compounding Materials—Sulfur

Standard Details

1.1 This classification covers the variety of sulfur grades used in the rubber industry. Typical chemical and physical properties for sulfur are shown. Sulfur is principally used in unsaturated rubbers as a vulcanizing agent.

1.2 This international standard was developed in accordance with internationally recognized principles on standardization established in the Decision on Principles for the Development of International StandardDetails, Guides and Recommendations issued by the World Trade Organization Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Committee.
