CAN/CSA-C22.2 NO. 126.2-02 (R2022)

Preface This is the common UL and CSA Standard for Nonmetallic Cable Tray Systems . It is the first edition of CSA C22.2 No. 126.2 and the first edition of UL 568. This common standard was prepared by the CANENA Technical Harmonization Committee for Nonmetallic Cable Tray Systems, which comprises members from Underwriters Laboratories, the Canadian Standards Association, and the cable tray manufacturing industry. The efforts of the CANENA Technical Harmonization Committee are gratefully acknowledged. This standard was reviewed by the CSA Subcommittee on C22.2 No. 126, under the jurisdiction of the Technical Committee on Wiring Products and the Strategic Resource Group, and has been formally approved by the Technical Committee. The requirements of CSA Standard C22.2 No. 126, published in 1991, are superseded by this standard for products covered in this standard as indicated in the scope of this standard. Where reference is made to a specific number of samples to be tested, the specified number is considered to be a minimum quantity. This standard has been approved by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) as an American National Standard. The most recent designation of ANSI/UL 568 as an American National Standard occurred on July 30, 2004. This ANSI/UL Standard for Safety, which consists of the first edition, is under continuous maintenance, whereby each revision is ANSI approved upon publication. Comments or proposals for revisions on any part of the standard may be submitted to UL at any time. This Standard has been developed in compliance with Standards Council of Canada requirements for National Standards of Canada. It has been published as a National Standard of Canada by CSA Group. Scope This standard specifies the requirements for nonmetallic cable trays and associated fittings designed for use in accordance with the rules of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) Part 1, and the National Electrical Code® (NEC).
